Film Recommendation: “Divided.”
A kingdom divided against itself will not stand and we see the modern American church being divided into singles groups, women’s groups, men’s groups, seniors groups, services for contemporary music preference groups, services for traditional music preference groups, married couples groups, 20-something groups, 30-something groups, and the list goes on and on.
With all these divisions being promoted within the Western church is it any wonder why we find the bride of Christ in the condition she’s currently in?

Fears rise that Japan could sell off U.S. debt - Washington Times
Some lawmakers and market analysts are expressing rising concerns that a demand for capital by earthquake-ravaged Japan could lead it to sell off some of its huge holdings of U.S.-issued debt, leaving the federal government in an even tighter financial pinch.
AFP: Israel ready to react with 'great force': Netanyahu
CAESAREA, Israel — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told US Defence Secretary Robert Gates Friday that Israel is ready to act with "great force" in response to a spate of rocket fire by Gaza militants and a deadly bus bombing in Jerusalem.
Israel had been "subjected to bouts of terror and rocket attacks," Netanyahu told reporters before going into a meeting with Gates.
"We stand ready to act with great force and great determination to put a stop to it," he added, with officials saying Israel had not been hit by any projectiles Friday morning.
Rick Warren’s Infiltration of the Reformed Faith at Christian Research Net
The speed with which the Reformed faith is being infiltrated by Rick Warren and his Purpose-Driven false teachings should surprise even those who have been watching the Purpose Driven tsunami in action in the last decade.Read more...
Rick Warren has tweeted reminders to his followers several times in recent weeks about the upcoming, groundbreaking regional Desiring God conference with Dr. John Piper that is being held April 29 and 30 at Saddleback Church. He knows that John Piper is under enormous pressure from those who understand the unbiblical teachings of Rick Warren and who are stunned and dismayed to see Piper openly embrace a man who has so manipulated and twisted God’s Word.

Homeschoolers boot creationist
In an email to Dr. Ken Ham, organizers of Great Homeschool Conventions uninvited the Creation Museum founder from speaking at two upcoming conventions and any other conventions in the future. They claim Ham made "ungodly" and "mean-spirited" statements about the convention and other speakers, continuing on to say: "We believe that what Ken has said and done is un-Christian and sinful."

Boy preacher: Called to warn America
When most boys are immersed in video games, school, and sports, Rankin Poage from Rancho Santa Fe is spending his time sharing biblical prophecy with adults.
Poage's interest in the last days sparked when he shared a book report to his class based on a book by Pastor John Hagee on prophecy. The boy stated that the recent earthquakes that devastated Japan and New Zealand are signs that indicate that Christ's return is near.

Perspective: Love has already won (OneNewsNow.com)
As an Anglican pastor, I bear scars from the war with "universalism" inside the Episcopal Church. I also have endured the battering of Bishop John Spong and his effort to "rescue the gospel from fundamentalists." And when I saw Rob Bell's new book Love Wins, I found myself quoting former Yankee great Yogi Berra: "It's like déjà vu all over again."
I'm the kind of person who detests jumping through hoops, playing mental gymnastics and arguing about what the definition of "is" is. That's why I'm not going to challenge the book point by point as wonderful scholars like Dr. Al Mohler have done. Instead, I'll deal with the big picture in the larger, even global, context of this "new suit" placed on an old heresy.

A great radio show about the real origin of the pledge of allegiance. Might make ya sick.
Will Biden try to impeach Obama?
"The president has no Constitutional authority to take this nation to war against a country of 70 million people unless we’re attacked, or unless there is proof that we are about to be attacked. If he does, I would move to impeach him. The House obviously has to do that– but I would lead an effort to impeach him. The reason for my doing that- I don’t say it lightly, I don’t say it lightly." - Joe Biden, 2007
Therefore We Know That it is the Last Hour « Possessing the Treasure
Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever. (1 John 2:15-17 ESV)
The rage right now in the church visible is what is called Christian Universalism. This is the theology of Rob Bell as revealed in his book Love Wins. Of course he plays his usual game of never being doctrinally definite about anything so it is impossible to pin him down to anything, but as this fellow says, Rob Bell is a Universalist. He should know because he is as well. I was at a second-hand bookstore about a month ago or so looking for a Greek-English Lexicon. Before I went to where the really special books were I decided to look first in the “Christian” book section, hoping that, perhaps, some seminary dropout had sold his Mounce Greek reference books and I would be the first to pounce on them. But, instead, I encountered two women excitedly talking about a book one of them had pulled from that stack by Rob Bell titled Velvet Elvis. One of the women was trying to convince the other how special it was and why she should buy it. I did not mean to listen, but I kept waiting for some sort of sound Biblical or Orthodox Christian reason that the other woman should buy that book. All I heard was that it was “really cool” and made the first woman feel “special.” I just shook my head, walked over to the reference section, and found a great buy on a 1999 edition from Oxford Press of Liddell & Scott’s Greek-English Lexicon for $12.00. I think I got a better deal.
The Message “bible” with another changed verse about homosexual sin « My Word Like Fire
We now have a generation raised under the “scripture” of The Message, with its omission of homosexuality as a specific sin in 1 Corinthians 6: 9-11, and also the altered presentation of 1 Timothy 1:9-10. (READ)
But what about 1 Kings 22:46? Eugene Peterson, author of The Message, strikes again. The Message states: “Also, he got rid of the sacred prostitutes left over from the days of his father, Asa.”
Sacred prostitutes? That’s the description?

Unreported Soros Event Aims to Remake Entire Global Economy
Two years ago, George Soros said he wanted to reorganize the entire global economic system. In two short weeks, he is going to start - and no one seems to have noticed.
On April 8, a group he's funded with $50 million is holding a major economic conference and Soros's goal for such an event is to "establish new international rules" and "reform the currency system." It's all according to a plan laid out in a Nov. 4, 2009, Soros op-ed calling for "a grand bargain that rearranges the entire financial order."
The event is bringing together "more than 200 academic, business and government policy thought leaders' to repeat the famed 1944 Bretton Woods gathering that helped create the World Bank and International Monetary Fund. Soros wants a new 'multilateral system," or an economic system where America isn't so dominant.
